A Short Escape in Winter 2014 (Epilog) : A Smooth Landing at Eindhoven

So, this is it!

The End of Winter Trip 2014 in Eastern Europe. From Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava, to Budapest. Well, this time I won't tell you about how I went home to the Netherlands..but I would love to give you a story how the journey has put me some new sheets of life...

It was my first experience to have a trip when I studied abroad. For me, doing a sight seeing in the cities was amazing, because I always try to dive into its typical atmosphere of the cities I visited. For example, I enjoyed Warsaw as a romantic city, despite of its history and the sparks of modern city when I was there. Then I clearly remember when I stepped my feet at Bratislava, it still overwhelms me with the impression of "from history to life" journey. The most amazing part of the journey was when in Prague, when I start my solo walk, I mean when I convinced my self that I need to have my own story, then have split from my travelmates! Afraid? Worried? Definitely, YES! but at once, I got my courage as well! Yes, a moment I have faith that everything is okay, there was nothing to worry about..just one come to my mind, I GOT TO ENJOY this anyway! :) I remember that I just walked anywhere my feet wanted to, as well as I got my first archery experience and so called my first "Beethoven-Mozart" Tour. So I called Prague by the city of courage. Obviously, Budapest has given me the splendid experience in my winter holiday in 2014 by the warmth of the city and its people. Something that will certainly make people hard to put their attention back to their real life with works, study, etc. So true, isn't it?

A Short Escape in Winter 2014 (part 5): Budapest, Sebuah Catatan Memahami Sejarah Dunia!

Ya, Budapest adalah kota terakhir dalam perjalanan Eastern Europe Trip 2014.  Membayangkan bahwa liburan saya akan segera berakhir dan 2 ujian resit sudah menunggu dan buku2 yang saya bawa hanya sekali dua kali saya baca itu selalu membuat saya panik. Ouch, perut selalu tegang! Hihihi..tapiiiii rasanya terlalu sia-sia kalau selalu cemas. It's time to have a story in this city! Hahaha sungguh sebuah tekad yang besar!

Kami tiba di Budapest siang hari. Hemh..lagi2 agak repot karena harus menukar mata uang ke Hungarian Forint. Tapi nggak seribet di Prague si, karena kami sampainya siang jadi mudah untuk menukar ataupun tarik tunai. Daaan, untuk membeli tiket kereta pun, kami bisa menggunakan kartu debit atau kartu kredit langsung di mesinnya. Saya cuma bisa, "wow!" Hahaha maklum, datang dari sebuah negara yang masih belum kenal kata efisien hihihi. Ok, step pertama adalah mengambil peta atau city map gratis. Sempat bingung juga ketika mencari jalur ke arah hostel yang kami booking. Hihi anton dan putri sibuk ngeliatin peta, saya diem aja. Abis kalau saya ikut2an ngeliat peta, yang ada malah diskusi nggak selese2. Sebenernya, solusi paling cepat buat saya adalah nanya ke polisi atau ke penduduk lokal. Wow! Patut diacungi jempol! Dari semua polisi dan penduduk lokal yang saya tanya, mereka nggak hanya menjelaskan secara verbal, tapi juga langsung assisting by action. Yang terakhir malah, si mbak2 warga lokal menunjukkan dan mengantar kami langsung ke depan penginapan tujuan kami. Wes wes, baik syekalih ya! Coba boleh dipeluk hihihi. Buat yang sering nyasar di tempat asing, pasti tau rasanya ketemu orang-orang baik.
